New Year, New Alderwoman

Leni holding her EMILY's List sign from Women's March 2017

In my last two emails, I have looked back and shared with you some of my activism work in our community over the past six years — how I helped organize over 10k Illinoisans to travel to the Women's March in DC and how I co-founded Indivisible IL [nearly halfway to their fundraising goal!] and Indivisible IL9 – Andersonville-Edgewater right here in the 48th ward.

Now I'm looking forward to the final two months of my campaign to become the next alderwoman of the 48th ward. My platform is rooted in my fundamental values that health, housing, and safety are human rights.

These values were foundational to my activism, continue to be foundational to my campaign, and will be foundational to my work as alderwoman. If you're getting this email, I know it's because those values are also important to you.

As we look forward to this new year, can you make a $100 recurring donation through March? As a bonus, we'll send Leni for 48th campaign buttons to anyone who donates at this level or higher!

We know that the high cost of campaigning keeps out women, people of color, and anyone who cannot buy their way into their seat — and that's all me! Can you chip in today and help fuel my values-driven campaign?

PS: Have you ordered your yard sign yet? They're flying out the door — be sure to get one today!
