Buttons and Yard Signs and Postcards, Oh My!

In our last email to supporters, Leni asked for a $100 recurring donation through March and she is so honored by the number of people who did – thank you for your faith in Leni’s campaign to be the next alderwoman of the 48th ward. For everyone who makes this generous donation, we are sending out a set of campaign buttons.

You can also stop by our Campaign HQ (5301 N Clark, 2nd floor) any time and pick some up — we'd love to see you!

Get Your Leni for 48th Yard Sign!

Have you seen Leni’s campaign yard signs in the ward? When we’re out canvassing, it really motivates us to keep going!

We still have a bunch at HQ, so please order some for you and your neighborsthey’re not getting the message out when they’re stacked in our closet. We're thrilled to deliver, so order today and we'll bring one out. Even if you aren't able to put a yard sign out, please consider making a donation today to help cover the cost — they're so expensive!

We know what a barrier the high cost of campaigning is for women, people of color, and anyone who cannot afford to buy their way into office. It's the reason Leni has fought for campaign finance reform for years and now, here she is as the candidate. Thank you so much for your support.

Can't afford to pitch in today but you'd still like a sign for your yard? Fill out this form and we'll make sure you get one.

It's Postcard Time!

We’re launching our postcard-writing campaign this week to reach voters in buildings whose doors we cannot knock on. Sign up here to write postcards with us.

If you can’t write postcards, consider chipping in to help pay for them and for the cost of stamps. (Reminder: the cost of postage goes up on January 22, so get your Forever stamps now.)

See You In The Ward!

This past week, Leni participated in the Northside AARP Community forum – Leni is a proud AARP member, and loves the AARP motto “To serve, not to be served.” The forum met at Lake View Presbyterian Church, where they serve lunch every M-F from 11:30-1pm to seniors ages 60+ for a suggested donation of $4. Details on that lunch here.

Leni also participated in the South-East Asia Center forum yesterday. They were both so great – it’s wonderful to see the voter engagement at this important local level. TODAY (Sunday, Jan 8), Leni will be on the OUT CHICAGO podcast at noon.

This coming Saturday (Jan 14) we’d love to see you at the 48th Ward Aldermanic Candidate Forum at the Broadway Armory (5917 N Broadway) at 1pm.

Be sure to check out the Events page on our website for more upcoming events.
