State Representative Theresa Mah endorses Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth for 48th Ward Alderwoman

CHICAGO, IL — The Manaa-Hoppenworth campaign is honored to announce that Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth has been endorsed by State Representative Theresa Mah for alderwoman of the 48th ward.

“I am proud to endorse Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth for alderwoman of the 48th ward. Leni has been organizing her community for years and she has the lived experiences that will make her a compassionate, grounded, and effective elected official,” says Mah, “Leni brings a big tent to the race as a queer woman of color, daughter of immigrants, small-business owner, and renter. All voters in the 48th can easily find common ground with Leni and see how she will best represent them in the City Council.”

Manaa-Hoppenworth, daughter of Filipino immigrants, said, “I’m very proud to have the support of fellow Asian American trailblazer Theresa Mah. I look forward to connecting with my neighbors to continue working together to ensure that our ward is safe and welcoming to everyone, no matter the color of their skin or how much money they have in their pocket.”

Manaa-Hoppenworth will listen to the needs of the community and foster a thriving local economy that will protect and expand the unique identity of the 48th ward.
