Leni is a lifelong Chicagoan, progressive Democrat, and fierce advocate for reproductive rights, trans rights, and gender equality. Leni is a mother of three, who raised her children in public school in the ward. She is the founder of a number of local progressive organizations including Indivisible IL, Indivisible IL9, and ILVOTE.
She has the support of Former Congresswoman Marie Newman, State Rep Theresa Mah, gun violence prevention advocate Kina Collins, and has been endorsed by the Chicago Chapter of the National Organization of Women (NOW) PAC and Vote Mama.
